ABOUT
Mai House Saigon is a not only a luxurious urban hotel but also elegantly furnished like a boutique gallery. When step in this hotel you begin a journey through local culture with collections of artwork, literature and artifacts. Each detail tells a captivating story about the locate, providing historic context with fascinating presentation. More than a hotel, Mai House Saigon is a work of art in itself, every nook is embellished and together they form an unforgettable story.
This hotel has long been grand opened, we are honor to be selected as a participant in the design of two unfinished areas, including the courtyard and the presidential suite.
Mai House landscape is a harmonious blend of tropical plants and western architecture. Palm, aroid, and banana families are among the plant species we utilize. Observing their growth and increasing harmony with the building is truly fascinating.
Treillage, also known as a trellis, is a garden design technique that utilizes lattice structures or frames to support and shape climbing plants. This technique has been used for centuries and was particularly popular in European gardens during the Baroque and Rococo periods.
In the 18th century, trellis reached the peak of its popularity, especially in France. Gardens were adorned with intricate trellises, forming arches, pergolas, and other architectural shapes. Trellis was used to create focal points in the garden, provide shade, and establish private areas.
This technique has been recreated in our project

A corner of the garden unfolds, revealing a classic, romantic beauty. Here, you can relax and savor the fresh air of nature. A small table and comfortable seats are placed side by side, creating an ideal space for reading a book or enjoying a peaceful morning with a steaming cup of coffee.
Night scene is illuminated by warm glow of lamps and candles. The faint scent of flowers combined with soothing music, creates a romantic and unforgettable evening.
The Presidential Suite was developed based on a rich and authentic French Colonial existing design language.
This room has undergone several renovations and has its limitations, such as the ceiling and floor being off-limits for any alterations. The concept of a sophisticated and elegant space serves as the guiding principle in our exploration of the design for this exceptional room.
Luxury can be expressed in countless ways, but the most common is through a lavish display.
Workspaces with privacy and darker tones for increased focus. This hotel is called Mai House, "Mai" is also the Vietnamese name of apricot blossom, a yellow flower representing spring. The engraved apricot flower motifs are secretly appreared throughout on the top of the cabinets and large wooden panels. The hotel owner's wife also bears the name of this spring flower.
In Asian countries in general and Vietnam in particular, the style of engraving on furniture still captures the hearts of the majority of people. The edge details of dining table are also designed based on this inspiration, which can be seen as a tribute from the latter generation to the previous generation.
Entering the bedroom space, we use dark texture parquet as a warm greeting to our guests.
The bedroom evokes a familiar rural landscape with motifs of bamboo, thatched roofs, and dragonflies.
Bathtub has a connection to bedroom through the curved glass partition. The arrangement of glass mullions is similar to the strips binding rice cakes cover.
We embraced a sense of freedom in developing the details, unconstrained by fear of chaos. The subdued neutral palette effortlessly unites all elements, just like the nostalgia of classic black and white movie.
