ABOUT
Fungi Chingu I is the first restaurant in a chain of Korean-style grilled restaurants developed by Quang Thai Corporation. By using materials and colors, we wanted to give this project a breath of Da Lat.
CONCEPT
The project create associations with walkways in the forest mountain, which bring the imagination of diners to the Langbiang Mountain. Moving around the space, people would find an endless array of details, from obvious ones like Pine Boxes to dubious ones like the structure on the ceiling that communicating with each other in a perfect industrial style, vintage, yet still faithful to the Dalat identity.
DESIGN
Materials used in the construction are quite simple, the most interesting point is probably the boxes filled with pine cones. We asked ten students to wander in the woods to pick up pine cones, then dry them to preserve them for a long time. A decorative element becomes the main identity language. This is one of the first works on the way we practice, so it's simple and fun.
Outside the windows is a row of flowers.
